Hello! I’m Rob, the guy with the Santa beard. Also pictured: my wife Sherry and our friends Laura and Tina. The four of us will head to Europe this fall, and this blog will document our adventures. We’re first-time European travelers. From France to Italy to Spain, we plan to swoon at the art, relish the cuisine, bathe in the culture, marvel at the architecture, and traipse through history. Only one of us, however, plans to sample the squid ink.

Note: Our homes will not sit empty while we’re gone. People will be staying in our homes the whole time. Make no thievery plans.

About This Site

This site is written using Hugo, a static site generator written in Go that claims to be “the world’s fastest framework for building websites.” I’m using the Bilberry Hugo Theme with a few tweaks. GitLab hosts and deploys this site’s code.

Although I got this site up and running on my desktop, I plan to do most of my writing on a 2018 iPad Pro using Textastic. I use Working Copy for Git integration.
